Sunrise House | Albury

Sunrise House is a custom residence designed by Studio 72 in collaboration with G.J. Gardner Albury. Set on one of the steepest residential sites in the region, the project demanded a design approach that was as practical as it was visionary. By working with the slope rather than against it, we unlocked the site’s potential to create a cascading series of living levels and outdoor retreats.

Every decision in the design process was made with the client’s priorities front of mind: investing the budget where it could be seen, felt, and enjoyed — in the architecture, interiors, and outdoor spaces — rather than lost to hidden structural and excavation costs.

The result is a striking multi-level home defined by its sculptural white forms, sweeping decks, and resort-inspired outdoor entertaining terrace with feature pool. Inside, flexible living areas and private retreats flow seamlessly across the levels, with the top pavilion offering elevated views and a true sense of escape.
